Frequently Asked Questions

Accommodation

We no longer offer accommodation in the park, but there are good alternatives in the local area, such as Harran Camping and Trones Camping.

Animal feeding

Follow the keepers through the park as they feed the animals and share their knowledge. The feeding rounds also give you a better chance of seeing the animals, as many of them are most active around feeding time. You can follow the whole round or hop on and off along the way. Joining the daily animal feeding rounds is included in the admission ticket and require no advance booking.

The feeding rounds:

  • Small predators: 11:30

The feeding round for Small Predators starts at 11:30 by the Otters. The animals included in this round are Otter, Silver Fox, Ferret & Red Fox.

  • Large predators: 12:30

The feeding round for Big Predators starts at 12:30 by the Wolverine. The animals included in this round are Wolverine, Polar Fox, Lynx, Wolf & Bear.

  • Reindeer, moose and deer: 14:00

The feeding round for Ungulates starts at 14:00 by the Reindeers. The animals included in this round are Reindeer, Deer and Moose.

  • Hedgehog Presentation: 14:00

Increase your chances of seeing Harald the Hedgehog by joining the Hedgehog Presentation at 14:00 in Children's Park Nordica.

Companion card and concession discount

Both companion cards and concession (senior/disability) tickets give a 50% discount.

These must be purchased in the souvenir shop to the left of the entrance, upon presentation of valid documentation, and cannot be purchased online.

Dogs in the park

To help keep our animals safe and healthy, visitors are not allowed to bring pets or other animals into Park Nordica. This applies to all animals, regardless of breed or size. Thank you for your understanding.

Just outside the entrance, there is a shaded waiting area where your dog can stay while you visit the park. The dog enclosure is free to use and is unattended.

Electric car charging

We currently do not have a charging station on site, but there are chargers nearby at Grong and Nordlandsporten (Tesla).

Food and group orders

Restaurant Skrubb accepts orders, including for groups. Food orders must be placed no later than 2 to 4 weeks before the date of your visit, and the price is locked in after this.

Motorhomes and parking

We have regular parking, but no power/hookups for motorhomes.

New owner and offerings under development

The park is under new ownership and is now called Park Nordica (formerly Namsskogan Familiepark). Park Nordica is still under development, and several of the former attractions are unavailable while we work on maintenance, safety, and the necessary approval processes. The change of ownership means that all attractions must be approved again in accordance with current requirements, and this is extensive work that takes time. The zipline and climbing tower are currently available as attractions. Other attractions, the bobsleigh track and bumper boats, are not in operation.

Opening hours

The park is open every day from 10:00 to 18:00 in august.

The zipline is partially closed during the day. If you would like to take the zipline, please contact the staff in the souvenir shop by the entrance for further information.

The climbing tower is open from 10:30 to 13:30 and from 14:00 to 16:30. It closes for a 30-minute break between 13:30 and 14:00. The last guests are admitted to the queue at 16:30. After this, there isn't enough time for both the safety briefing and the climb itself before closing.

Skrubb Restaurant is open daily from 11:00–19:00. The kitchen closes at 18:30.
